Carolyn Sue Downard, age 68, of Groveport, Ohio passed away August 12, 2012 at Mt. Carmel East. She was born September 9, 1943 in Moxahala, OH and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Viola Sheppard and her son, Michael Allen Downard. She will be remembered as a loving mother by her surviving children, Teresa (Jeff) Sipes, Melissa “Mitzi” Barnes and William Downard; also survived by her granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Barnes and feline companion, Buck. She had retired from Winchester Place with 29 years of service, a job that she truly enjoyed. Per Carolyn’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no public services.
