Carrie Lee (Wray) Goss, age 64, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at home. She was born in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Gloria (Tuerk) Wray and is also preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Goss; and brother, Bruce R. Wray. Carrie is survived by her husband, Richard Emerson, Jr.; sisters, Linda Wray Sackett (Dave) and Rebecca Proctor (Stephen); niece, Sydney Proctor; nephews, Mitchell and Brayton Proctor; and Richard's parents, Richard and Barb Emerson of Warsaw, OH. Carrie graduated from Franklin University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and worked for Amsted Rail Griffin Wheel where she retired in January of 2015. Carrie had a lifelong love of horses, and started showing hunters in the late 70s. She joined Rocky Fork Headley Hunt in the 90's, earning her colors shortly thereafter. In more recent years she transitioned to eventing, and then on to dressage, hunter paces and trail riding, which she enjoyed doing with her friends through this spring. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E.
