

Catherine was the sixth child of fourteen children and the second eldest daughter who helped raise her younger siblings with a very stern hand.
She was educated and graduated from the Greenville, Mississippi school systems.
Several years after graduating high she decided to move to Chicago, Illinois where she met the love of her life George Adams. In 1971, George and Kitty moved from Chicago, Illinois to Columbus, Ohio where they settled down to raise their family.
Catherine worked at Sears Logistics for 25 years and then at Citi Bank for another 10 years before deciding to retire after 35 years of service. She was loved by her coworkers, as well as her family.
Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to all who dawned her doorstep. Kitty also coined the name “Tool Time” because of her ability to fix projects around the house.
She was fun to be around, and she was an amazing cook, who expressed her love though food. Every holiday, Kitty’s house would be filled with joy, laughter and love while enjoying a buffet of food and memories in the making.
Kitty adored her grandchildren and there was nothing she would not do for any of them. She loved them individually and spoiled them equally. They affectionately called her “MamMaw” and George “Daddy G”.
In 2022, after the death of her dear husband, Kitty decided to move back to her hometown of Greenville, Mississippi to share her light and wisdom with nieces and nephews.
On July 5, 2023, she gained her heavenly wings and reunited with her husband George and daughter Rolonda.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Lamar (Thomasena) Goodman; Daughters, Merrilyn Goodman, all of Columbus, OH; Lisa Adams and Tonia Williams of Chicago. Twelve Grandchildren, and Eleven Great-Grandchildren. Her Sisters, Brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, whom she adored.
