Catherine Rose Spada

Cathy was born on August 2, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, and passed away suddenly on January 14, 2026 at the age of 69. Preceded in death by her husband Carl Spada Jr., parents Margaret Rose Gallagher, Neil Edward Gallagher, and Lila Frances Galagher, sisters; Eileen Stortz and Sheila Rosko. Survived by her children Brian Gallagher and Kimberly Rose Gallagher (Sam). Grandchildren Brent Gallagher, Alex Clark and Brennen Gallagher. Siblings, Cathy Chrystal Wingeier (Alan), Michael Gallagher (Cheryl), James Gallagher (Micheline), and Robert Gallagher (Tim). Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cathy loved to dance and was fondly known by many as “Dancing Cathy.” She loved music and played in her high school marching band. Making snow angels was a yearly tradition including this past December. As an avid sports fan, she cheered on the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Guardians (Indians). Cathy enjoyed the grand dogs and loved family and friend gatherings. She was proud of her Irish heritage and was dedicated to her Catholic faith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00am, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at St. Josephine Bakhita Church (formerly St. Elizabeth Church), 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229; interment immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N High St, Lewis Center, OH 43035. There will be a celebration of life 1 – 3:00pm at Gabby’s Tavern, 1887 Tamarack Circle N, Columbus, OH 43229.
