Charles Albert Anderson, age 51, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in Dallas, TX. Charlie was born on May 10, 1972 to Charles N. and Bonnie Anderson in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Westland High School. To say Charlie was “sociable” would be an understatement. Even as a three-year old, he could make a friend in under three minutes. He gathered friends throughout every stage of his life, many of which became life-long friends. He played organized sports, including football and basketball from 4th grade through 12th grade. He loved it and he was good at it. Charlie would have used the word great in that sentence. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid golfer. He has a talent for art, which he must have gotten for his grandmothers, Grace and Eleanor. He made award-winning pottery, and he could also draw and paint. He became a Union glazier. One day he announced “I am moving to California” like it was as Cleveland, Ohio. He loved California and stayed for many years. He then took jobs in sales. He was well suited for sales with his easy manner and charm. After California, he went to Chicago and then to Texas. A dear friend of his mentioned how generous Charlie was. Though he is gone too soon, he loved life and had too many adventures to list. He was loved and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Some days I struggle to go on just wishing you were near. Most days I spend in gratitude that you were ever here. Survived by his mother, Bonnie Anderson; father, Charles N. (Donna) Anderson; siblings, Bart Anderson, Ashley Hicks, Samantha (Ignacio) Santibanez; Tammy (Josh) Rodich, and Stevie Fadley; niece and nephew, Christian and Roman; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Advantage Funeral Home & Cremation by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 follow by visitation from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Private inurnment will take place in Alton Cemetery and a celebration of life will take place at a later time in a metro park to honor Charlie.
