

Charles Everett "Charlie" Bright, Jr., age 72, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 20, 1943. Charlie was formerly employed by August Wagner Breweries. He was a longtime Beulah Park Associate and Jockey's Agent. He was a member of the Elks in Grove City, Moose Lodge 11, and American Legion Don Gentile Post 532. He was an avid sports fan, golfer, and nature lover. Preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and George Schmidt; and father, Charles Everett Bright, Sr. Survived by his significant other, Nancy Bright; daughters, Glory (Jim) Johnson and Dawn (Curt) Wolfe; grandchildren, James Johnson III, Crystal (Zach) Stollings, Amber Johnson, Tony Wolfe, and Alexis Johnson; and great grandchildren, Erica, Kylee, Aleeha, and Lincoln Everett. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 2:00PM-3:30PM followed by a memorial service at 3:30PM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Private burial. Contributions in Charlie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Charity Newsies, The James Cancer Hospital, or OhioHealth Hospice.
