Chuck was a devoted husband, brother and father. He was loving and kind with a steadfast faith and a man after Christ’s heart. Chuck blessed this world with a wide smile and a huge heart. He was a man of joy, grit, intelligence and good humor, and had trademark orneriness. He was a great example to follow. Chuck made sure everyone he loved knew how much he loved them.
He was an accomplished businessman in the transportation industry; and during his last career, he worked at Schoedinger Funeral Home where he enjoyed helping others during difficult times. Chuck loved music and F1 auto racing. He was also a member of the New Albany United Methodist Church where he loved his church family very much.
Chuck will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Lyndsey Casey; children, Annette Doughty (Darrell), Charlie Casey (Shawna), Matt Casey (Amy) and Joe Shafer (Leanne); brother, Paul Casey; grandchildren, Darrell J. Doughty (Abbianne), Trevor Doughty (Bryanna), Donny Casey (Tyler), Kyle Casey (Grace), Jackson Casey, William Casey and Jay Daggett; greatgrandchildren, Theo, Alex, Callie and Lucy; niece, Kelly Borders (Michael); great-nieces, Zoey, Nora and Bailey; former wife and friend, Harriet Casey; and beloved pets, Lenny and Betty.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Rebecca Casey; and niece, Shannon Reilien.
A memorial Service will be held at a later date (likely in January) at New Albany United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, Chuck would want memorial contributions to be made to Faith Mission in Columbus.
