

Charles Edward Haag: born October 28, 1944, died April 5, 2017. Charles was born to Daniel and Marjorie Haag on October 28, 1944 in Crestline, Ohio. He graduated from Crestline High School in 1962 and attended school for computer programming at various locations. He worked for the Ohio Department of Liquor Control (Ohio Department of Commerce) for 51 years. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and suffered a stroke in November of 2016. He married Sara Joyce Feldpausch on August 30, 1969 and had no biological children. In addition to Sara and his beloved dog, Nakita, he leaves behind a sister and her family: Kathleen Kehl, Sam and Melody Kehl, Troy and Angie Shaw, Colton Shaw and Tyler Kehl; nieces Abby (Joe) Wright and Ashten Smith; nephew Andrew (Melody) Haag; and sister-in-law Carla Fox Chiles and family. He cherished his extended family Jack and Lisa VanDerKooi (Jay and Olivia) and Curtis; Jerry and Julie VanDerKooi (Jamie, Jarod and Jacob); Michael and Krista Oris (Ashlee and Zachary); and Rick and Michaele Williamson (Caitlyn and Megan); Jenny and John Hanna (Emily and Haley) and many others. He was a lifelong NRA member and enjoyed collecting firearms and target shooting. He also enjoyed horses. Charles had a kind and gentle spirit that drew people to him. He had a unique sense of humor that endeared him to all. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2-4pm at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 and Tuesday April 11, 2017 from 10-11am at First Community Church, South Campus 1320 Cambridge Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43212 where a funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43214 in Charles' memory.
