

Charles Steven Massey was born on July4th 1954, in Hinton WV, after his mother had watched fireworks and had an ice cream parfait, both of which he loved all of his life. He died June 16 after a three and a half year battle with mantle cell lymphoma surrounded by his family.
When he was 6 months old they moved to Waverly Ohio and then to Ironton when he was 12. He spent many summers in and around Pulaski Va, where his mother grew up. He graduated from Ironton high school, where he excelled in football and baseball, including the 1972, State of Ohio baseball champions. He went to The Ohio State University where he played baseball for two years and graduated with a degree in business. He worked in the food industry including Rax, First Watch Restaurants and Perfect Plate Catering.
He is predeceased by parents Charles W and Colleen (Hall) Massey. He is survived by his wife Regina (Kinney), three daughters Michelle (Jason) Mendoza, Stephanie (Matthew) Fojas, Katherine (Kerry) Green. Five grandchildren Charlie and Bennett Fojas, Annabelle and Lillian Mendoza and Kenny Green. Two brothers Rick (Lisa) and Mike (Mike Fortin). Nieces Erika (Dan), Ashley (Josh) . In-laws Mike and Bernadette Kinney. Sister-in-law , Mary (Dave) Legenza nieces Jessica (Matt), Becky (Todd) , brother-in-law Mike (Kelli), Lori, Aaron (Becca) Selah and Lucy.
He enjoyed coaching soccer and softball for the girls when they were younger. Recently he enjoyed reading and playing with his two best buddies Charlie and Annabelle.
