Born the last child of the late Chuck and Wanda Miller, Charlie grew up in a lively and loving household of 7 kids in Danville, Ohio. Always an athlete and sports fan, Charlie played basketball and baseball at Danville High, and remained a supporter of the Blue Devils throughout his life. Charlie moved to Columbus in 1980 to pursue his business degree at Columbus State; he quickly turned a part-time job during college into a career, remaining at Southard Supply since 1981 and rising to General Manager. Growing up a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Danville, Charlie became an active and beloved member of the St. Matthias parish when he settled down in Columbus in 1983.
Charlie's real passions in life were always his family and Notre Dame. Charlie will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Teresa; his daughters, Tiffani (Ross) and Nicole; his grandchildren, Lily and Carson; his brothers, Mark (Brenda), Terry (Joan), Floyd (Linda), Randy (Judy), Matt (Michele); his sister, Suzette (Jim) Gambrel; his brother- and sister-in-law, Joe and Gina Blanchard; and so many other relatives, friends and colleagues. We will do our best to care for each other and cheer on the Fighting Irish in his stead.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthias Church, 1582 Ferris Rd., Columbus, OH 43224, on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10 AM, with Father Larussa officiating. Interment will follow at approximately 1:45 PM at St. Luke Catholic Church Cemetery in Danville, OH.
