Charles graduated from Dixon High School where he was the valedictorian of his class. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in horticulture before serving in the U.S. Army in the Nike Missile Division. Upon his discharge, Charles went back to Kentucky to run the family peach orchard and later attended The Ohio State University where he obtained his Masters degree. Charles worked in chemical sales at Landmark, where he retired after many years. Charles was an “idea man” with many projects and rental properties that lead him to co-own Team First Real Estate in Hilliard, where he again retired.
Charles was a family man, taking the kids and grandkids on camping trips to Hocking Hills, yearly trips to Florida for spring break and special trips back to the farm in Kentucky. He was a member of Lane Avenue Baptist Church, the Realtor’s Association, and the Forestry Department, and was an avid OSU football fan. Charles will be remembered for his ornery and teasing personality and love for his family. His presence, advice, and stories will be dearly missed by his family.
