

Charles Larry Peoples, age 73, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. He was born May 19, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Otto "Gus" and Helen (Welch) Peoples. He was a 1961 graduate of Franklin Heights High School. Chuck was a butcher with Big Bear for 27 years. He then served as a corrections officer for 17 years at the Pickaway Correctional Institution. He was a gearhead who loved to drive fast. He enjoyed collecting antique cars and motorcycles. Chuck had a great sense of humor and was very ornery. He was a frequent patron of the Breakfast Barn with his buddies. His family was very important to him, especially his blonde granddaughters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William "Bubby" Spafford and Betty Bragg; and nephew, Mike Bragg. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janet Peoples; children, Heleyna (Stacey) Carter, Heather (Marc Blume) Smith, and Kevin Beavers, Sr.; grandchildren, Taylor (Amber Staples) Carter, Madison Smith, Makenna Smith, and Colton Blume; niece in law, Lilly Bragg; great niece, Susie Williamson; close friends, Roy and Tammy Nichols; beloved dogs, Mini, Yoda, Lala, Dora, and Latte; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where a celebration of life service will follow at 6:30 p.m. Private inurnment will be held later at Galloway Cemetery.
