Charles A. Phillips

Born August 24, 1921 in Waynesburg, Kentucky to the late Coy and Sarah Phillips.

Charles served in the US Navy as part of the "Greatest Generation". He earned his Bachelor's from Morehead State and earned his Masters of Chemistry from University of Kentucky. Charles was retired from Rockwell International, Columbus, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his parents and grandson Michael Hitt.

Survived by his loving wife, Mary Phillips; children, Judy (Richard) Hitt, Diana (Kenneth) Grosick, Julie (Richard) Lesnansky, Carol (Ronald) Seiffert, and Darla (Rodney) Meranda; grandchildren, Matthew and Adam Hitt, Melissa Bates, Jonah Frech, Lauren Davie, Leah Creasap, Rachel Jackson, Natalie and Michelle Seiffert, Jenna and Jess Meranda; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 10-12noon at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Gahanna, OH 43230, where a celebration of his life will begin at 12noon. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
