

Charles William Schuler, age 84 passed away on February 14, 2013 at Countryview of Sunbury. Charlie was born July 29, 1928 in Upper Arlington Ohio to the late Charles E. and Ida Schuler. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army paratrooper stationed in Japan. Charlie was a graduate from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He followed in his father's footsteps starting his own company Schuler Manufacturing in Hilliard Ohio where he held several patents for his gas meter settings designs. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Ann Schuler and Mary Ellen Heyboer and his daughter Lonnie Karen Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Ann Lafyatis Schuler; children, Diana Stuckey and Charles Thomas Schuler; and grandchildren, Adam Taylor, Lisa Taylor Perry, Sara Taylor Barnett, Amy Stuckey, Jason Stuckey, and Lindsey Stuckey; and his brother, James Schuler. Funeral service will be held at the SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME at 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington Ohio at 10 A.M. on Saturday, February 23 with a burial at Union Cemetery following the service.
