Charles R. Wharton, III, age 69, of Delaware passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Charles, also known as “Bob”, was born on September 6, 1942 in Columbus; he was the son of the late Bob and Helen Wharton. Charles is survived by his children, Brenda, Charles (Teresa) and Donnie Wharton; brother, David (Marianne) Wharton of Westerville; devoted girlfriend on 13 years, Alka Hannah of Delaware, and her son, David Williams; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Charles loved anything electronic and enjoyed any kind of gadget he could tinker with. He was a friendly and out going man whose generosity was seen by many.
