Charlotte Merritt Garrett

Charlotte Merritt Garrett, 90, of Grove City, died Monday, March 12, 2012. She was born February 3, 1922 in Jackson, OH to the late James S. and Gladys E. (Edward) Sheward. She was a Sgt. in the Womens Army Medical Corp during WWII and retired as a Medical Librarian. She was a lifelong member of the Grove City United Methodist Church, a life member of the Mt. Carmel Hospital Auxiliary, Grove City Community Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is preceded in death by husbands Edgar Charles Merritt and Howard Garrett, daughters Pamela Ann Merritt and Suzanne Snarponis and brother William (Bo) Sheward. She is survived by children James O. Merritt, Nanette (Art) Mastrogianakis, Denise (John) Gueth, Patrice Flanagan and Edgar C. (Carol) Merritt, nineteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. Private Services were held at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway on March 16, 2012.
