

Charlotte grew up in College Corner, IN, and met her husband, Dick, at Franklin College, Indiana while performing together in the one-act play “Tea for Two”. She married and moved with Dick to Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State with an English degree. Charlotte taught 8th grade English at Jones Jr High in Upper Arlington, OH for several years. In addition to being wife, mom, grandmother, and friend to many, she was an entrepreneur, owning “The Boxshop” in Lane Avenue shopping center. Later, she was the office manager for many years at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Charlotte enjoyed reading, playing violin and piano, their Marriage Encounter group, church events, family vacations to lake and beach houses, and trips to Alaska, Europe, and China.
Charlotte will be greatly missed by her husband of 67 years, Dick, her children Peter (Ann-Marie) of Wixom, MI, Matthew (Amanda) of Seattle, WA, and Steven (Melisa) of St. Augustine, FL, and “grandchirren” Megan, Sarah Dornan (Matt), Max, Annalise, Jillian, Sydney, Leah, and Nicholas.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Marilyn Cassidy.
Visitation at noon and Celebration of Life service at 1pm on January 17th, 2026, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Road, Columbus Ohio, 43221.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
