A funeral service for Charlotte Leah Wood, 58 of Newark, will be held on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Rev. William Wayt officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Charlotte was born in Newark on September 16, 1953 to the late Robert Wells and Vivian (Harris) Wells, of Newark. She passed away peacefully on November 29, 2011 at Arlington Care Center after a long illness.
She graduated from Newark High School in 1971 and attended Central Ohio Technical College. She was an office assistant with the State of Ohio Commerce Department. Charlotte enjoyed playing the piano, reading, listening to music and she had a great sense of humor.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister, Madeleine E. (John) Hosterman of Circleville; nephews, Brian, Stephen (Danielle), Jeffrey and Mark Hosterman; great nephew, Andrew Hosterman; and several cousins.
