

Chelcy Eugene Hershey, 72, of Grove City, Ohio died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on April 8, 2013 at 8:15 AM. Born June 28, 1940 in Bradford, Ohio, he was a life member of the National Judo Association where he studied the art of Judo for over 60 years. He was a 5th degree (Godon) black belt in Judo and Jiu Jitsu. He retired from White Westinghouse and Techno Glass companies in Columbus. He is preceded in death by two children, baby girl Hershey and Stephen Douglass; his parents, Mildred (Paul) McCreanor and Raymond Hershey Sr; brothers, Kevin McCreanor and David McCreanor and sister, Pamela Walls. He is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa R. (Fred) Routt of Grove City, Ohio; sister, Phyllis (Jack) Kirk of Piqua, Ohio; brothers, Jack (Nora) Hershey of Bradford, Ohio and Raymond "Mike" Hershey of Grove City, Ohio; lifelong friends Roger and Joyce Vogelpohl of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Ricky, Chelcie, Abby, 7 great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday.
