

Christine Lelia Hopkins was born December 22, 1936 to the late Elder Clarence and Lelia Mae (Seabrook) Harris in Columbus, Ohio. She was the youngest girl of eight siblings. Mother Hopkins went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
She graduated from East High School in 1954. She married in 1957 and had two children, Pamela and Keith. Christine worked for the Bureau of Employment Services, now known as Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services for over 30 years. She retired in January of 2002 and enjoyed bowling and having weekly lunches with her grandchildren.
Mother Hopkins was baptized in 1962 and later became a member of Christ Memorial Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Nurses Corp, was a member of the Lydia Missionary Circle, and attended Sunday School faithfully.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Elder Clarence T. and Lelia Mae Harris; sisters, Rosa Lee Cliff, Anna Louise Jenkins, and Willa Mae Cochran; brothers, Clarence J. Harris, Ozell Walter Harris, and Benjamin George Harris; brother-in-laws, Herman Hackett and Hugh Cliff; former husband, Clyde Alfred Hopkins.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Pamela Hopkins and Keith(Velma) Hopkins; grandchildren, Kelsey, Jordan, and Tyler Hopkins; special grandchildren, Justine and Justin Allen; sister Delores Elizabeth Hackett; sister-in-law, Patricia Harris, special nephew, Craige Cliff, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
