Heaven gained an Angel, Christopher ”Fergy” Ferguson on Friday July 3rd, 2026.
Fergy was born on January 15, 1967 to Addison and Elisabeth “Marty” Ferguson. Although Fergy was born with some serious health conditions he was always cheerful and optimistic, persisting in the face of adversity. From his early years and throughout his life Fergy shared a kindred bond and had a fierce protector in his sister Kim.
As a diligent student at Crooksville High School Fergy was inducted into the National Honor Society, he was a drummer in the marching band, and a member of the quiz team.
After Fergy graduated from high school he went on to Ohio University where he was a proud member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Being a FiJi was an honor he valued his entire life. Fergy’s keen sense of money served him well as Fiji treasurer and led to him graduating with a degree in finance in 1989. He continued to serve Phi Gamma Delta for decades after graduating and held his FiJi brothers very close in his heart.
In 1992 whilst celebrating St. Patrick’s Day Fergy was thrilled to be approached by the love of his life, Angela Corona. The two quickly realized the depth of their connection and got engaged 6 weeks later during a Fiji Pig Dinner annual reunion. Their love saw them through many wonderful adventures and many difficult days, and was ever present as they navigated nearly 34 years of marriage.
Professional endeavors were a cornerstone of Fergy’s life, with his most rewarding being working for Robert Half International for 23 years. He was a natural connector, which led to much success and recognition within Robert Half. In typical Fergy fashion he had many coworkers turned lifelong friends at Robert Half.
Fergy had a passion for travel, enjoying trips to the beach, the Caribbean, to Napa Valley, and internationally to Germany, Italy, and France. Some of his most treasured travel memories were of taking his parents Marty and Addison back to Marty’s homeland of Germany.
Fergy got the second act of his life after a Kidney transplant in 2017. We will forever be grateful to Emily Thomas for donating her kidney to Fergy. We had many terrific years and so many treasured memories because of Emily’s selfless compassion.
Fergy was defined by many things, but never his physical difficulties. At any given time you could find Fergy with a cheeky grin, lending a helping hand, sharing his blessings, teaching a niece or nephew how to drive a boat, playing a spirited game with his family and friends, or enjoying one of his favorite wines. What you would never find however is Fergy negative or complaining. His hearty laughter was contagious, and he was a beacon of light and love to all who had the fortune of knowing him.
Fergy is survived by his devoted wife Angela; parents Marty and Addison Ferguson; mother-in-law Carol Corona; mother-in-law April Corona; sister Kimberly Bolyard (Steve) brothers Michael and Tom Ferguson; brother-in-law Christopher Corona (Toma); sister-in-law Amanda Corona (Edward Strempel); and cherished nieces and nephews - Allison, Zach, Matt, Micah, Nick, Nikita, Connor, Carter, Faith, & Gillian.
Fergy had a welcoming committee in Heaven including his Father-in-law Thomas Corona, Grandmother Dessie Ferguson, Aunt Toni Corona, and numerous other loved ones including friends and animal companions.
