Clarissa Marlene Ford Tayim was born on Thursday, August 13, 1953 in Jackson, OH and passed on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at the age of 66. She is survived by her husband, Fauzi Tayim and her four children: Mark Tayim, Sami Tayim, Riyad Tayim and Dina Tayim as well as her grandchildren Skylar Tayim and Razi Tayim, and her siblings Clemevest (Tootsie), Dorothy (Dot), Joyce (Joy), Roger, Lowell and Steve. She has left us with a legacy of caring and selflessness that is unmatched by anyone in recent memory. She taught us to love, to smile, to enjoy the life we are blessed with to its fullest, to remember God in all that we do and to never give up on each other as family, even in the most difficult of times. She was our light and heart of our family and our community. She lived a life of volunteerism and altruism, always putting the needs of others above her own. She would say that "her kids are her life," and she lived that maxim every day. Her idea of the best time of her life would be a Thanksgiving meal shared with all of her kids or a cookout on Mother's Day. She was a simple person who lived simply and loved deeply. She was uniquely connected to nature, loved the outdoors and loved exploring new places. Her favorite place was her sunroom, sipping a cup of tea or coffee, looking over the flowers and plants that she cared for or watching the hummingbirds feed. She always wanted the best for everyone and was the one to make sure everyone felt welcome and loved. She will be deeply missed beyond words. She would tell us to celebrate her and to show our love for her by loving more deeply, forgiving one another and by achieving at our highest level. It is our honor, our privilege and our duty to carry on her legacy of love and compassion.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Franklin Park Conservatory, one of Clarissa's favorite spots in Columbus.
