

Clark Edwin Biddle, born in Columbus, Ohio on January 26, 1927 to Maurice and Estella (Beckett) Biddle, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 after being struck by a car while walking and rescuing his wife Betty from serious harm. He is survived by Betty J. (Frankel) Biddle, his loving wife of 68 years, son Gary C. (Patricia K.) Biddle, daughter Sally J. (Daniel P.) Cress, granddaughters Elizabeth A. Biddle and Katharine V. Biddle, grandsons Russell D. (Sue) Cress and Anthony P. Cress, niece, Shelly (Tom) Orsborn and cousin Jean Jednak. Clark graduated from West High School in 1944 together with Betty. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1951 with a degree in Business Administration. Clark was an accomplished musician from age 15, playing saxophone and clarinet in high school, the Army, and in dance bands around the Midwest. Clark owned and managed Biddle's Drive-In Restaurant on West Broad Street for 25 years and later retired from Food Service Management at The Ohio State University. Clark further served as President of the Hilltop Business Association, member of Westgate Lodge No. 0623, life member of AA Scottish Rite, Aladdin Shrine and the Aladdin Shrine Band. A man of boundless energy, Clark also was an avid pilot, fisherman, gardener and fan of Ohio State sports. Above all, Clark was an immensely wise, warm, gentle, kind and loving man who was devoted to his wife, family, many friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly. A celebration of Life for Clark will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2 pm at Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, 4343 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio.
