Clasina Catherine Borden

Clasina "Tina" C. Borden, age 96, passed into the presence of our Lord and Savior on November 1, 2019. Tina was born in Akron, Ohio on August 22, 1923 to Deta and Anton Young. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrel, and is survived by her children Diana (Steven), Richard (Joanne), James (Patricia) and Cheryl (Dale), seventeen grandchildren including spouses and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, John (Gladys) and sister, Betty (Hank). Tina retired from Battelle Memorial Credit Union, was a long-term member of PEO, homemakers extension club and Covenant Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling around the US and to places like Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, the Mediterranean and her parent's home country of the Netherlands.

Tina enjoyed family time, making peanut brittle at her church, attending symphonies, and going out for ice cream or a Wendy's Frosty. While at Carriage Court Assisted Living of Hilliard for the past seven years, she enjoyed reading, Wheel of Fortune, Bingo, exercise class and a van ride to anywhere. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 15th at 12 pm at Mt Peace Cemetery, 183 Aqueduct St, Akron, OH. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 11 am at Schoedinger Funeral Home, 1740 Zollinger Rd, Upper Arlington, OH. In lieu of flowers, Tina would have preferred a donation to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
