

Claudis "Claude" Franklin Davis, 84, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Claude was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on February 27, 1937 to the late Russell and Catherine Davis. He met and married his wife Janet in 1955 and together they moved to Columbus in 1960. He was a loved member of Wonderland Community Church where he led musical worship. He worked in the sheet metal industry most of his life primarily at the Columbus Show Case Company. Throughout his life, Claude enjoyed music especially Gospel music. He sung in various Gospel music groups most all his life. He started the Gospel Roadmasters Quartet in 1973 and sung with that group until his health prohibited his participation in 2017. In addition to his parents, Claude was preceded in death by his brothers Thomas Davis and Otis Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Janet Davis; his son, Claudius (Virginia) Davis, his grandchildren Jason (Shawna) Davis, Jared Davis, Joanna (Shaun) LaDuc, Great Granddaughter Mereson Streeter-Davis.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 27 from 11am until 1pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A Funeral Service will follow at 1pm with Pastor David VanHoose to officiate. Internment will take place at Glen Rest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution in Claude's name to Parkinson's Foundation.
