Cloyd Ernest Evers

Cloyd E. Evers, age 86 passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Kobacker House in Columbus, OH. He attended The Ohio State University before he volunteered for the Army during the Korean War. He was a professional land surveyor, former part owner, retired President and CEO of Hockaden and Associates, Inc., devoted member of the Tri-Village Lion's Club, 32nd degree Mason of the Linden Lodge, Scout Master of Troop 12, Regional Planning Commission Franklin County, Ohio, Ohio High School Athletics Association- Track official. Cloyd is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Frances "Frankie" Evers; children, Jane Ann Rudolph, John William (Tammy) Evers; grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Verdi, Tara Rudolph, Luke Evers. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Gayle, George and Jane Sybert; parents, John and Loretta Evers. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 20 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL1740 Zollinger Rd., where the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016. Interment will follow later at 1p.m. at Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, OH In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cloyd's memory may be made to Tri-Village Lion's Club.
