Col. Charles A Takos (Ret.)

Col. Charles Allen Takos (Ret.), age 86, died peacefully in his home on April 26, 2023. He was born July 9, 1936, in Mansfield, Ohio and moved to Worthington, Ohio in 1971. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, daughter Lisa Schoedinger, son Gary Takos, grandchildren Katie and Jack Schoedinger, sister Karen Takos and nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents John and Lillian, and brother John. He had a 40 year career with the Air National Guard and retired as a full Colonel and director of human resources for the Adjutant General Department for the State of Ohio. He was an active member of First Community Church. The family would like to thank their many friends and caregivers during this difficult year. They also would like to thank Suncrest Hospice for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Suncrest Hospice or St. Jude Hospital, in his memory. Memorial service at 3pm Tuesday, May 2 at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd, where family will also receive friends from 3:30-5pm. Rev. Mary Kate Buchanan officiating.
