Connie graduated from Kettering Fairmont East High School in Kettering Ohio in 1969. It was here that she met the love of her life Greg while they were both juniors in high school. After graduation she went on to attend The Ohio State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition in 1974 and would later go on to receive her master's degree in Human Nutrition in 1976.
Connie's professional career spanned over 42 years, having recently retired from the Delaware General Health District where she worked for 20 years. Connie was a Registered and Licensed dietitian in the State of Ohio for her entire career. Perhaps Connie's proudest professional accomplishment was the work she did for the Ohio Department of Aging. It was here that she was hired as the first full time dietician to supervise and expand Ohio's statewide Meals on Wheels program.
Connie loved many things in life. She was an avid artist and loved working with watercolors. She was an avid singer as well as a fantastic cook as well as baking. She learned how to turn non gluten free foods into gluten free foods without it changing the taste of the food. She also loved tending to her hostas, flowers and landscaping beds. Connie had the privilege to travel extensively throughout her life. She had the opportunity to travel around the United States while speaking at seminars when she ran her own consulting business. She also had the opportunity to travel internationally while Greg was in the Navy, having been to Grand Cayman, Toulon France, and later London England.
Connie will be greatly missed by her husband Greg Codispoti; siblings, Christi Murrell, Jon (Kim Sue) Hurst, Kim (Robert) Ederer; nephews, Mike (Liza) Murrell, Marc Codispoti, Chris (Codispoti), Ben Codispoti; nieces, Sarah Murrell, Rebecca Codispoti, Jill Joseph, and Nikki (Jesse) Jones.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
