Connie B. Slone

Connie B. Slone, age 65, passed away Saturday, March 03, 2012. She was born July 2, 1946 in Huntington, WV to the late Haskel and Ruby Wheeler Blankenship. Connie graduated in 1964 from Inez High School in Inez, KY and in 1969 from Moorehead State College in Moorehead, KY. Connie was a retired school teacher with the Columbus Public School System with 28 years of service. She was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church. Her beautiful smile will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her son, Scott T. Slone and brother-in-law, Randy Slone, Sr. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry L. Slone; brother-in-law, Archie Slone; nephew, Victor (Marlena) Slone and their sons, Cody and Jared Slone and nephew, Ricky (Renee) Slone and their son, Nick; sister-in-law, Anna Duty and nephew, Randy Slone, Jr. Family will receive friends 5-7 pm Tuesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Dr. William L. Snider officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice.
