Constance J. Gilson

Constance Jean Gilson, 88, loving mom, grandma and great-grandma, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2020 at home. She was born November 3, 1931 in Zurich, Kansas to Omer and Anna (Brinn) Thyfault; also preceded in death by a son Michael L. Gilson, an infant daughter, Suzy M. Gilson, and the father of her children, Walter W. Gilson. Connie was a long-time resident of Gahanna. She enjoyed camping, activities with the Red Hatters, and loved hanging out on the front porch or playing cards with her neighbors, family and friends. She is survived by three children: Kimberly A. Hamilton (Jimmy Norrie), Brian P. Gilson (Judy) and Joseph Gilson; grandchildren Jayme (Matt) Kostelnik with Grayson and Gabriel, Jacob Gilson, Brianna (Civon) Thomas and Katie (Brian) Bourne with Jordan and Kayla Bracy; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Family will welcome friends 2-5pm Sunday, March15, 2020 at Schoedinger Northeast, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna; Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Monday at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corner Rd., Gahanna with interment to follow at Mifflin Cemetery; Fr.
