Cynthia Bland-Jones

Cynthia Bland-Jones, age 75, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was born October 12, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harvey and Hazel Bland. Cynthia is survived by brother, James Bland of California, niece, Christina Bland, nephew, Ayanna Pierce, cousins; Arnetta Stinson (will be 100 years old March 13th, 2022), and Ronald (June) Bland of Washington, D.C., numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, along with other dear family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Janet Bland Pierce. Cynthia, also known to many as "Kay", graduated from South High School in Columbus, OH. She then continued her education at Central State University, and moved on to get her Masters at Massachusetts University. Cynthia then started her career as a high school public educator for the City of Columbus School District and in the state of Florida. She loved all flowers. Cynthia loved to shop and had quite the fashion sense. She was a bright presence in people's lives and will be missed deeply. Family will receive friends Wednesday March 23rd, 2022, from 11AM-1PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, with a funeral service to follow at 1PM.
