Sunrise, December 10, 1964 in Houston, Texas; Sunset, September 18, 2019, Columbus, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer that ended peacefully for her at home surrounded by family and her beloved animals. (Breezy - dog, Elmer - African Gray, Bodhie - Parakeet). She is survived by her loving parents, Andrew and Phyllis, sister, Barb, nephew Mason, nieces, Samantha, Sophia, Grace, and Morgan; brother, David (Laurie), nephew Connor and niece Megan. She was a graduate of Northland High School, attended Ohio State University and was an avid Buckeye fan, and then later went on to become a RN. Cindy took great pride in her career as a nurse and in her final job as a case manager at Quantum Health for oncology patients. Her passion in life was helping others no matter the situation. Upon the return of her cancer she became much more of a patient advocate being able to empathize with her patients and communicate better healthcare practices needed between doctors and their patients. She was an avid supporter of Circle P Sanctuary in Marengo, a horse rescue farm. She adopted a horse, Gale, and spent most of her down time at the barn caring for the animals and spending time with them. Cindy had a heart of gold which showed in her loving relationships with her nephews and nieces and with the many volunteer organizations that she helped. The family would like to thank her numerous friends (specifically Deanne and Sandy), co-workers, Kroger Pharmacy staff at Polaris and staff of Ohio Health Hospice and Kobacker House who helped and supported during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Cindy’s name to Circle P Sanctuary. 2013 Co Rd. 24, Marengo, OH 43334 (https://www.circlepsanctuary.org/) or Ohio Health Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, OH 43214.
