

She was born on May 1, 1978 in Ft. Pierce, Florida, to Richard H. and Mary E. Scarffol. Cynthia worked for many years in customer service and was known for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and ability to bring happiness to those around her. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and was affectionately known as the favorite aunt and grandma.
Cynthia was always a happy person who loved life and the people around her. She was a devoted fan of Ohio State and could often be found cheering on her favorite team. Her loving personality, infectious smile, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard H. and Mary E. Scarffol; and her granddaughter, Kahlia Brittman.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Kenyatta Knight; her children, Bishop Brittman, Cameron Scarffol, Ya’dra Knight, and Seth Knight; her grandchildren, Chasity and Roman Brittman; her siblings, Tammy Scarffol, Richard (Darin) Scarffol, Tina Scarffol, and April Scarffol; her nieces, Kyla Scarffol, Kaelin Watters, and Kalleigh Zyski; and her nephews, Omari Nanna, Richard Scarffol Jr., Ricky Scarffol, Michael Scarffol, Alex Steward, Kyler Zyski, and Kavin Zyski.
Cynthia’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be remembered for her happiness, love, laughter, and the special place she held in the lives of those who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made directly to the funeral home to assist the family during this very difficult time.
