

Dale M. Glenn, 79, of Columbus, passed away on September 30, 2018 after a short illness. He was born in McConnelsville, Ohio on February 28, 1939 to Delmar and Mabel (McCormick) Glenn. He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Barker) Glenn, the love of his life for 55 years. He is also survived by his daughter Gayle (Kevin) Snyder; son Bill (Ann) Glenn; daughter Carey (Matthew) Evans; grandchildren Noah Evans, Hannah Evans, and Sam Glenn; sister Barbara Glenn; brother George (Joy) Glenn; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Vivian Glenn and Katherine Bott, and brother Marcus Glenn.
He is an Army Veteran. He received his Bachelor's degree from Park University, his Master's Degree from Central Michigan University. After 31 years he retired from the Columbus Police Department where he was a Lieutenant. He later served as Assistant Chief of Enforcement, State Department of Agriculture, and was a graduate of FBI Training for Police Officers in Quantico, Virginia. He was an avid runner and ran the Columbus Marathon and the New York City Marathon numerous times. He enjoyed reading, Ohio State Football, and spending time with his family and time on the family farm.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230 where a visitation will be held on Thursday October 4, 2018 from 4-8pm. A service officiated by Rev. Matthew Evans will be held at the same location on Friday October 5 at 11am. Private burial will take place at Memorial Park in Zanesville, Ohio.
