Damaris "Dede" Moore (nee Doser), age 85, of Dublin, OH, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2020. Born in Rochester, NY, Dede lived in many places in her youth due to her father's professional golf career, attending school in Westchester County, NY and many Florida and North Carolina locations. After graduating from Cornell University, she resided in the Cleveland area for most of her life. In Cleveland, Dede raised three children and earned a Master's Degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University while juggling the responsibilities of a single mom. As a member of the Junior Committee of the Cleveland Orchestra, Dede was the editor of the wildly popular Bach's Lunch cookbooks which featured recipes from world famous chefs, celebrities, and influential Clevelanders. After the end of her second marriage, she opened Dede Moore Oriental Rugs on Larchmere Road selling antique rugs to a loyal clientele and was a founding member of the Cleveland Rug Society. Dede was also a longtime board member of the Cleveland Archeological Society. Faith played a big role in her life and Dede was devoted to the Community of St. Peter Church. Dede was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Catherine Doser, and is survived by her brothers, Jack (Linda) Doser of Port St. Lucie, FL; Jerry (Inessa) Doser of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; son, Charles (Patricia) Klaus of Omaha, NE; daughter, Kathryn Klaus (Giorgio) Rizzoni of Upper Arlington, OH; and son, Rick (Krissann) Klaus of Aurora, IL. Dede is also survived by eight grandchildren who she treasured hosting for The Cleveland Natural History Museum's summer Circle Sampler Camp when they were young. Dede loved to be around people, to travel, and was a voracious reader. While small in stature, Dede was resolute, genuinely happy, and will be remembered for handling life's challenges with grace, determination, and a quick smile that brightened everything and everyone around her. A memorial service will be planned in the Cleveland area at a time when friends and family are able to travel again. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio, with a private funeral Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church, Columbus, Ohio. Arrangements by Schoedinger Northwest Chapel in Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dede's name to the Cleveland Archeological Society, c/o David Richardson, 2422 Newbury Dr., Cleveland Hts., OH.
