Daniel Joseph Keene

Daniel J. Keene, 42, of Cambridge, OH, passed away at his residence on December 28, 2010 after a long and courageous fight with Diabetes. He was born on October 20, 1968 to Sharon Jo Gall and Barry Allen Keene.

Dan attended Westerville North High School, the Northeast Career Center and Brookhaven High School. He was a career roofer and was involved in the construction industry up until his disability.

Dan is preceded in death by his brother Brian Smith, grandparents Elwood (Ruth) Keene, and Joseph (Verna) Gall.

Survivors include his children; Alexis, Ashley, Brittany, Daniel, Dakota, and Derek; step-children Jeremie and Nicholas; parents Sharon Keene-Smith, Barry (Patti) Keene; brother Ryan (Melissa Tauro) Smith, grand children Cali, Micha, Carli, Bryce, and Evany; nephew Anthony Tauro-Smith; and step-father Bruce Smith.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mike McCoy, Daisy Wilson and Paul King.

The family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger North Chapel 5554 Karl Rd. Columbus, OH on Tuesday January 4, 2010 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a graveside service following at Kingwood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., Alcoholics Anonymous of Columbus, or the Friends of the Shelter of Columbus.
