

Daniel D. Plummer, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2012. Dan was born on August 6, 1940 in Columbus to the late William and Helen Plummer. He was a proud graduate of West High School and a veteran of the US Army. Dan attended Barber College and was a Barber at the Western Barber Shop for many years. He then worked for Kal Kan Foods Inc. and retired from the State Highway Patrol Maintenance Department. After retirement, he joined the staff at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel. Dan enjoyed gardening and creating a tranquil place to enjoy the outdoors. He was a Buckeye enthusiast. What gave Dan the most pleasure were his grandchildren and being with them. You could always find him helping others as he was a very caring man. Preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Gay Raush. Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara Plummer; son, Matthew (Jennifer) Plummer; daughters, April Tenorio and Michelle (Kevin) Russell; grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Trevor, Brooke and Cayden; brother, Don (Barb Lee) Plummer; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad Street, where funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 7, 2012 Interment Sunset Cemetery.
