

Daniel Kittredge Walker, 82, of Columbus, died Thursday, February 25, 2016. He was born December 24, 1933 in Bardstown, KY. Daniel was a graduate of the University of Louisville. He was active with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an honorary member of the Kentucky Long Riders and the Kentucky Colonel Booster Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and a very active lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was employed by Philip Morris for over 30 years. He is preceded in death by his daughter Mary Denise Walker; son, Mark Daniel Walker; parents William Ignatius and Nancy Elizabeth (Head) Walker; and sister, Margaret Ann (Jim) Bryan. Daniel is survived by Leila Jeanette (Higdon) Walker, his loving wife of almost 60 years; daughter Sheila (Tony) Applegate, of Dublin, Ohio; son, Kirk Walker, of Columbus; grandchildren, Amanda Walker, Amber (Andrew Doone) Walker, Rachel Applegate, Wil Applegate, Wyatt Applegate; and a great-granddaughter, Payten Leila-Faye Doone; siblings, Billy (Theresa) Walker, Donald (Cindy) Walker, Larry (Barbara) Walker, Gary (Susan) Walker, and Bonnie Walker; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43229.
