Darlene Joan Neese

Darlene J. (Dolly Jo) Neese, age 89, of Reynoldsburg, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023. A daughter to Edwin Howard and Audra Mae (Lightle) Neese born in 1933 in Springfield, Ohio. She graduated from Springfield High School and began her career with the Department of Defense Intelligence division. Later in life, she received a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice which enhanced her career. As an active member of almost 50 years of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served for two and a half years on a mission for the church. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Judith Neese; niece, nephew and their families, Jennifer Rae Long, Jeffrey B. (Jacqueline) Neese, Brian J. Long, Jessica Long, Jordan B. Neese and James Henry Neese. Funeral Service will be held 11:30 am Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where family and friends may call from 10:30-11:30 am Tuesday. Private graveside service at Grape Grove Cemetery, Jamestown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fast Fund, of the Latter-day Saints Church of Reynoldsburg or to a local food pantry, in Dolly Jo’s memory.
