Dave’s true source of happiness was the time spent with his family, as a caring son, brother and uncle. Through his zest for life, traveling, photography, love of music, dry sense of humor, cooking and fine dining he enjoyed sharing with family and friends.
A 1979 graduate of North High School, he went on to graduate from Columbus State, where he earned his degree in Nursing. David was a highly skilled critical care Registered Nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital, with over 33 years of dedicated service.
Dave was a true mentor with his amazing knowledge and loved to share stories about how he was “always saving lives”. He was also a pioneer in one of the first critical care nursing fellowship classes through RMH as well as the newly opened Neuroscience Center. He truly set the standard high for all other fellowship classes. Dave’s caring and compassionate nature was conveyed to his patients, and fellow staff, on a daily basis. It is through tissue donation that Dave continues to help the lives of others.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3-6 pm, at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Monday, October 12, 2015. Rev. Carol Lecompte officiating.
Interment to follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neuroscience Center at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Dave’s memory.
