Dave, Gary Blackburn, Richard Riggs, LeRoy Malloy, Don Leach, Jimmy Holt, and others . . . friends who spent time in the basement of the Siebert family home playing pool.  Gary, Don and Dave are gone.  I hope and pray to see Richard and Jimmy Saturday.  LeRoy is in Tennessee and sends his condolences.  We began to learn life's lessons there (and many other tricks of the trade).      Got in the ring with Dave once; we went 2 rounds - he clocked me good in the 2nd.  Never got back in there with him again!      I'll tell the stories of the (box of rocks) and the (sinker) if you remind me Saturday.     Dave is and was a good man.

Dave and I go back to Heyl Elementary.  The old alphabetical system put "Curfman" and "Curtis" sitting next to each other. We shared a lot of vocabulary.  I helped Dave with the weekly spelling tests and Dave help me expand my vocabulary of words we didn't use at school! I think I was taller than he was then. But, Dave was small and mighty and ruled the playground. (Of course it helped that he had his own entourage of some of the biggest boys in class: Don Leach and Steve Ebright.) I ran into Dave and Keri a couple of times in recent past and I'm glad I had a chance to catch up.

I've never had a brother until I met Dave. We have had so many great times together, it would take a book to even begin to talk about them. I don't think I have ever laughed as much in my life with anyone besides Dave. He could start talking about a spark plug and somehow we would end up talking about RL, Big Rick, Parkersburg, or just re-telling old jokes. Dave could turn a minute into two hours.
I learned a lot from Dave, the most important thing I learned was, it's okay to hug your friend, give him a kiss and tell him you love him. I will always miss him and love him. I don't understand why he is gone.

Dave's battle is over and he is forever at peace now.  What a kind, sweet, courageous man who will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.  Although we only know Dave & Keri from Applebee's, it's plain to see why they are loved and adored so much by all of the "regulars".  What a great couple and two of the nicest people we've ever met.  Our thoughts and prayers have been and will continue to be with you and your family Keri.

I will always remember the memories we had at the Browns games, Jeremy's 30th surprise b-day party, family gatherings, etc. David treated me like family. I'm fortunate to have known him. He's in a better place now. Our thoughts and prayers are with your families!

dave will always be my favorite person to argue with! we had some really good ones. he called me judester. my life is better for having known him. i've not known a more warm, giving person. i will never forget his inability to disengage once we had arrived and were having a good time. i understand it was like that at the end of his life,too. i love you, davey. i will never forget you. judester  (FAHRFRUMWURKEN)
