David Lee Gibbs

David "Dave" Lee Gibbs passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 26, 2018, after a courageous 15 month battle with Lymphoma. Dave was born in Pontiac, Michigan on November 7, 1969. He was 48 years old. An avid lover of animals, history, fountain pens, and all things technological, Dave was a man of many hobbies. He attended Xavier University, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Economics and International Affairs in 1991. Dave loved reading and had a passion for learning. He was a District Manager for Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc. He loved working there, and he considered the many people he worked with to be a second family. His company had been very supportive of Dave during his difficult struggle with this illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Deanna Gibbs, his parents, Danny and Linda Gibbs, his Brother, Robert (Holly) Gibbs, his three children, Natazia (Robert) Hendricks, Aydon (Kieran) Rhoades, and Kristin (Matthew) Andrachik, his mother in-law, Sheila Probasco (who unselfishly spent many hours helping care for Dave and the rest of the family), and his four beloved dogs, Sadie, Diamond, Joplin, and Abbie, who were the light of his life. A Visitation Service will be held in his honor on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Schoedinger Funeral Home at 5360 East Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43232 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. To respect Dave's wishes, the family will not be holding a public service following the visitation.
