David E. Kimes

David Kimes, age 85, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his home. Born August 23, 1929, he was a lifelong resident of Columbus and Upper Arlington. Preceded in death by parents, Chase and Verla Kimes; brothers, Roy, Fred and Jon Kimes and son-in-law, Jeffrey Dane. Retired from State Auto Insurance Company and veteran U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Member of Riverside United Methodist Church and Luther B. Turner Lodge #732 F and AM; Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus. Survived by wife, Joan; daughters Kathleen (Vincent) DePaoli and Liz (Steve) Holbert; grandchildren, Megan Dane, Andrea DePaoli, Ryan and Sally Holbert; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 9 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL 1740 Zollinger RD. where a memorial service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Rev. R.
