
He was born on October 21, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio; to Francis Joseph and Elizabeth (Nehr) King. He was a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School. He loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, boating and NASCAR. David retired as a boiler operator at Capital University after 25 years of service.
David is survived by his wife of 35 years Betty (Harness) King, children Leslie Smith of Columbus, David (Kristina) King of Canal Winchester, Chrissy (Adam) Price of Blacklick, Frank (Jenny) King of Newark and Andrea King of Glenford, grandchildren Derek Smith, Jillian King, Benjamin King, Ella King, Mia Price, Madelyn Price and Cora King, siblings Marsha (Perry) Williams of Newark, Dick King of Columbus, Janet Wright of Pataskala, Ann (Steve) Selfinger of Columbus, Tina (Dave) Powell of Stockport, Paul King of Lancaster, Paula (Danny) Randolph of Columbus, Laura (Sonny) Grotonelli of Florida and John (Shari) King of Blacklick, special aunt Karen Lines and special uncle Chuck (Peggy) Nehr, many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Francis J. King.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm also one hour prior to the service at the New Life Pentecostal Church, 10933 S.R. 79, Hebron Road, Buckeye Lake, Ohio.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11 am at the church with Rev. Ken Keene officiating. Boring Sheridan Schoedinger Funeral Home, 56 South Main Street, Thornville, Ohio is assisting the family.
