David Billy Laney Sr., 82, of Columbus, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. He was born November 2, 1929 in Lawrence County, KY to the late George and Laura (Puckett) Laney. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from General Tire. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of the VFW Post in Waverly, OH. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean in August 2011 and four siblings. He is survived by children David “Bill” (Brenda), Don (Shirley), Tim (Tina), Tom (Dani), Debbie “Sis” (Will) and Scott Hobbs, grandchildren Tommy, Miranda, Timmy, Donald, Maddie, Amanda, Ashlie and Chuck, many step grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3920 W.
