David "Davey" R. Powell

David “Davey” R. Powell, age 30, of Columbus passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 12, 2011. He was born in Columbus on June 6, 1980 to David and Susan Powell, who survive. Davey is also survived by fiancé and best friend, Cassie; children, Trista and Daylon; sister, Lori Powell; grandparents, Robert and Janice Powell, aunts and uncles, Gloria, Barbara, Bobby and Cindy; cousins, Amy and Chad; and many other family and friends. Davey is preceded in death by grandmother, Charlene Ritter and uncle, Robert Ritter. He was a graduate of West High School where he was active in soccer and ACOT. Davey was a former pharmaceutical technician for 4 ½ years. He enjoyed playing all sports, especially baseball with Daylon. He was an avid OSU buckeye fan. Davey will be remembered for his kind heart and his personality that lit up a room. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger Hilltop Chapel, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204; where funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 10am.
