

David Lee Watkins, 68, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, June 18. 2011. He was born on October 30, 1942 in Columbus, OH to Mildred R. Hudson and William D. Watkins. He served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University, military and a history enthusiast He will be dearly, always, and forever missed. He is preceded in death by mother Mildred R. Hudson, stepfather Charles M. Hudson, father William D. Watkins, stepmother Alta Watkins, father and mother-in-law William M. and Dorothy M. Crimm, Sr. and brother-in-law William M. Crimm, Jr. He is survived by wife of forty years, Betty J. Watkins, son Jeffrey D. Watkins, daughter Robyn L. Watkins, sisters-in-law Carol (Jerry) Miller, Paula (Dan) Hafley, Patti Thompson, and Nancy Crimm, stepbrother Paul (Jean) Fischer, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will also be missed by his dog and “buddy”, Goober.. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270) where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM.
