Dawn Renae Drummond

Dawn Renae Drummond passed from this life on March 19, 2011 and is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Dawn was born July 5, 1980 in Columbus, OH and was a 1999 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. Dawn loved unconditionally, was open hearted, and accepting of all people. She was a free spirit who felt comfortable in the beauty of tie-dyed fabrics and found hope in butterflies. She enjoyed camping and fishing… watching cooking shows and then testing out recipes on her family…She also enjoyed softball, bowling and cheerleading, at various points in her life. But anyone who knew Dawn, knows that her son, Ricky Kelley, was truly her shining light, and her spirit will live on through his life. Dawn will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Vickie (Mike, Sr.) Hutchings and Eddie Drummond; brother, Brian Drummond; sister, Stephanie (Tim) Craig; step-brothers, Jason (Angela) Featherolf, Michael, Jr. and Brandon Hutchings; Ricky’s Dad, Rick Kelley; Ricky’s grammy, Debra Kelley; Ricky’s aunts and uncles, Bob and Rhonda McPherson and Steve and Ruth Ann Frizzell; nephews, Brian and Dustin Craig, Zach and Connor McPherson. Dawn was preceded in death by grandparents, Donald and Patricia Frizzell and Aunt Jackie Cappelli. A memorial service will be held at 5pm Thursday, March 24, 2011 at East Columbus Christian Church, 1055 McNaughten Rd., Columbus, OH 43213, where family will receive friends beginning at 4pm; Pastor Andrew Hoover, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a Trust Fund that has been established for Ricky Kelley at Fifth Third Bank; Envelopes will also be available at the church.
