Dawn Marie Moore

Dawn Marie Moore, age 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Dawn was born on September 28, 1943 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia to Dallas Elmer and Mona Lee (McClung) Burns. Dawn worked for many years as a Lab Technician for Battelle Memorial Institute. She loved playing softball, working in her yard and garden where she grew green peppers and tomatoes. She was the grill master and made the best steaks like no one else. She enjoyed spending time her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her “Mamaw”. Preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Moore; son, Keith Moore and her parents, Dallas and Mona Burns. Survived by her daughter, Tamara Dillon; daughter-in-law, Tabitha Moore; grandchildren, Melissa Yarbour, Kristina (Jacquelynn) Johnston, Matthew (Jess) Dillon; Dustin and Brandon Moore; great grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Jason, Cyrus, Randi, Shy-Ann and Levi; brother, Robert (Nancy) Burns. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 5-7 pm at Heart & Hope by Schoedinger Funeral Home, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where funeral service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 am followed by interment at Alton Cemetery.
