Deborah Louise Cooney

Deborah L. Cooney, age 64, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on January 25, 1953 to the late Theodore and Barbara (Skelly) Cooney. Debbie retired from nursing after 35 years of service at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, playing Scrabble, and lover of all animals. Debbie's kindness and mentoring will be greatly missed by her friends and family. In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Cooney and sister-in-law, Renee Cooney. Left to cherish her memory are her step-mother, Joan Cooney; beloved Goddaughter, Jamie Blanford; siblings, Ted Cooney, Mary (Bob) Searles, Michael Cooney, Sarah (Jo Whipple) Cooney, and Patrick (Suzanne Barton) Cooney; nieces and nephews, Ashely and Ben Camacci, Jarrod and Kayla Cooney, and Alexis Teeters; life-long best friends, Arlene, Laura, Trudy, and Trish; many great-nieces and nephews, extended family members and four-legged fur babies.
